We recognise that the conversion process can be a daunting prospect for many schools and appreciate that converting to an academy can often be a sensitive and contentious issue. We also understand that academy conversion can be a strain on time which would otherwise be dedicated to running the school.
As part of our School to Academy service, we offer pre-conversion workshops (regardless of whether you have committed to converting or not) where we will meet with your governing body, staff and/or parents to discuss the conversion process generally and to run Q & A sessions. The schools we have worked with have found these workshop sessions extremely useful in dispelling the myths and common misconceptions surrounding academy conversion allowing an informed decision about converting to be made.
One of our key objectives when advising a converting school is to establish an academy which both the governing body and the staff understand and can administer easily. The legal documentation which is required to convert is detailed and as part of our conversion package we run document workshops for your school where we’ll explain the documentation step-by-step and in plain English.
We also offer complete support, not only during the conversion process itself, but from the very early “pre-application” stages (before even a firm decision to convert is made) all the way through to on-going post-conversion matters.
It is our philosophy to work closely and in partnership with you to understand your objectives and to provide tailored advice rather than a “one size fits all” approach. We will also project manage your conversion all the way (liaising with the Local Authority and DfE accordingly) to achieve your target conversion date and so you can concentrate on running the school.
Our commitment to collaboration and to working closely with schools has allowed us to maintain close relationships with all the schools we have converted.
